Hi there!

My name is Grace/Gracie (they/she) and I am a non-binary tattoo artist located in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have been a tattoo artist for 5 years as of this past July.

I own and operate my own private Studio, Cunning Folk Studio, in the heart of Northside’s Historical District! I opened in May of 2026. Prior to opening Cunning Folk i worked at 3 other tattoo shops around the Cincinnati area for 3.5 years all together.

I was drawn to tattooing from an early age. Always very intrigued by how you could altar your appearance to better reflect how you felt internally. I got in loads of trouble for doodling on my hands/body in Catholic school… was told to go scrub my hands to get the ink off while I was in high school. Much to their surprise some did not come off lol. I’ve been collecting art on my body for a decade now, though I prefer the ladder years more than the early ones. Alas they all tell a story, my story. :’)

I find that queerness and the art of body modifications go hand and hand. I strive to provide a inclusive, soft and calm environment for all people, but specifically for queer people & women. It’s the reason I am here today. I wanted to become the artist I didn’t experience the first time I got a professional tattoo.

Outside of tattooing & running a small business I find joy in lots of hobbies and activities (if I can find the time lmao)

To list a few: photography, ceramics, tarot, mysticism, reading, listening to my records, learning new skills, spending time with my four cats, hiking, gardening, and traveling!

I am a chronically ill babe! Woo! I have SAD (specific antibody disorder, not the seasonal affective disorder…. hopefully) I have to do weekly infusions to have a normal immune system! Oh what fun! I struggle with chronic fatigue & pain most days. I am constantly in the process of mourning my old way of life, and leaning into the new way. I do love living a slow and intentional life.

Other fun tidbits are I am 5 years sober from alcohol & even longer from harder substances! Everything good in my life has stemmed from my sobriety and I couldn’t be more grateful. :-)

I love taking little jaunts through nature & my local cemeteries. Don’t even get me started on graveyard iconography…
